There was an Alexander Cairns who was involved with the Bonnyside Tileworks, Bonnybridge, the Bonnymuir Brick and Tile Works, Bonnybridge and the Gowanbank Brick and Tileworks, Grahamston, Falkirk around 1850 – 1875 so perhaps he also had connections with an Alloa brickworks – for further research.
