28/04/1858 – Dumfries and Galloway Standard – At the tileworks, Bratels, Closeburn, on the inst., the wife of Andrew Young gave birth to three infants, two them sons, still-born, and who had been dead for a considerable time before. The third, daughter, who is vigorous, and with the mother doing well. The united weight of the three children, in this case, was nearly seventeen pounds, that of the live child being six pounds. This was Mrs Young’s ninth confinement, and she was attended on the occasion by Grierson, Thornhill …
