06/01/1901 – The Scotsman – The Renfrewshire authorities yesterday reported that John Grogan, (50), Moncrieff Street, Paisley and Christoper Donaldson, (27), no fixed residence were fatally injured at Cardonald Brickworks. It is stated that they were at work at one of the kilns when a roof collapsed burying both in the debris. They were also severely burned and though extricated speedily they only lived for a short time.
