This fire brick is either a product of Craigend Brick and Tile Works or possibly Craigend Refractories, Muiravonside, Falkirk.

Found by Ian Suddaby in the Manuel Burn at the old Craigend Colliery site. This example is not in my possession. This fire brick is very likely to be a product of the Craigend Brick and Tile Works, Muiravonside, Stirlingshire rather the Craigend Refractories. Early references to the works suggest they did make fire bricks…
Found by Eddie McLean in the Glasgow area. The manufacturer of this brick is unknown. The find location would suggest Scottish origins. Other Sankey Aluma stamped bricks are thought to have been manufactured by Craigend Refractories Ltd, Falkirk. Click me. .
The following bricks were found by Jan H Hanssen from the Nederlands. They were seen on the shores of Eyjafjördur quite close to the Skjaldervik Guesthouse north of Akureyri, Iceland.
