Find location would suggest Scottish origins but …
Considering the find site, this may well be a James Dougall product.
It may also be an early Dyson Refractories product. They took over the Bonnyside Works from Dougall and their emblem, which appeared on many bricks, was a diamond.

Found by Reuben Bartolo in a fireplace in Mosta, Malta. Reuben states – The building itself is from the 1500s, I would guess the fireplace is around 1950s. The bricks were between the limestone blocks, behind the fireplace itself.
