1938 – The Morningside Fireclay Company worked the Goodock fireclays known locally as the Watsonhead fireclays from Watsonhead No 1 mine – started in 1938.
1959 – Watsonhead No 1 mine – closed.
1959 – Watsonhead No 2 mine – opened.
1961 – Watsonhead No 1 mine – closed.
