1858 – 1861 – ScotlandsPlaces – Hailstonemyre – James Forest occupier – A farm steading recently sold – purchaser’s name not yet known. The public right of way from “Swinehill” to “Marlage” passes on the north side of this farm. There is a tilework on this farm wrought by the farmer.
1858 – 1861 – ScotlandsPlaces – This comprises of a kiln for baking the tiles, a wooden shed, for drying and seasoning them, and a wooden mill for working the clay previous to shaping it into tiles. The whole used for the manufacturing of tiles used for draining purposes. It is on the lands of “Hailstonemyre”.
