Found at Muirhouses Farm on the old Perceton Fire Clay Works. Perceton, Ayrshire.

Below – Broken section of pipe. Its either a section of unglazed water pipe but if it is it has no collar for joining onto the next section – the length is whole.
I think it is a pipe for refractory purposes. The curved opening is part of the design and would have been circular before the break. Note also the small indent on the right end – this is part of the design too.
Dimensions – 22 1/4″ long . The is 1 1/4″ thick. The circular ‘junction’ has a diameter of 5 1/4″
